Watch Newcomers Nashie & Janessia In The ‘Bring Your Body’ Music Video – DancehallMag

Released at the start of the New Year, this musical gem, Bring Your Body by Jamaican singer Janessia (@officialjanessia) and musician/producer Nashie (@therealnashie) is a surprising treat for the ears as it is for the eyes.

The visuals for the music video trek to several breathtaking milieus on the island. The two songsters could be seen relishing in overindulgent experiences, from rafting at the Blue Lagoon in Portland to basking on a white-sand beachscape in Montego Bay. Other shots captured the striking murals of the Paint Jamaica project at Fleet Street in Kingston, Jamaica, complete with some pretty scenic drone shots, especially of what appears to be the Great River on the island’s north coast.

The two songbirds team up in this mellow love song to express the yearnings they have for each other, which finds Janessia hankering on the hook, “Bring your body to me, bring your body to me today”, in her syrupy vocals.

While Nashie points out all her enticing appeals, “Everything you do is attractive … you are my nice likkle island ting, you calm my mind with your vibes and sing, say you have mi heart when you smile and ting. Make me go pon mi knee with di diamond ring.”

This is the first teaming for Janessia and Nashie, though new to the game, they’ve both had prior releases. For Janessia, check out her singles, Special and R1. Nashie is known for his tracks, iPhone, and Flip Flop featuring Jae XO and Anguishh. He is also the man behind the record label, Newwaav Music, which produced and directed the track and music video for Bring Your Body.
