January 11th, 2023

The New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings play on Sunday in a game on the NFL playoffs Super Wild Card Weekend schedule.

Which team will win the game?

The Vikings are a 3-point favorite in the game.

NFL playoff odds: Seahawks vs. 49ers | Chargers vs. Jaguars | Dolphins vs. Bills | Giants vs. Vikings | Ravens vs. Bengals | Cowboys vs. Buccaneers

Bookies.com: Take the Giants on the moneyline vs. Vikings

Bill Speros writes: “Danny Jones threw for 334 yards and Saquon Barkley carried the ball 14 times for 84 yards in that one, but the Giants were plagued by turnovers. This time, the Giants should hold on to the ball and leave Minneapolis with the win.”

Vinnie Iyer writes: “Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley will do their best to keep the Giants in the game with plenty of running and a few big plays, but the Vikings will be able to move the ball more consistently all afternoon.”

Will Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Giants in the NFL playoffs?

Maurice Moton writes: “Jones has completed at least 71 percent of his passes in his last two starts. On top of that, running back Saquon Barkley can run wild on a run defense that’s allowed an average of 138.7 yards over the last six weeks. Big Blue avenges its Week 16 loss to the Vikings in an upset.”

OddsChecker: Go with the Vikings to cover vs. Giants

It writes: “The Giants are 2-1 against the Vikings in their 3 playoff matchups. I don’t expect that to happen this weekend. The Giants just don’t have the talent or the experience to compete in the playoffs with a team like Minnesota that is filled with veterans who’ve been here before. With just a 3 point spread there’s no way I can’t pick the Vikings.”

CBS Sports: Giants 27, Vikings 24

John Breech writes: “This game might not be as sexy as the other wild-card games, but I would definitely plan on watching if I were you. I mean, remember, this is a Vikings game, so the only thing we know for sure is that it will be totally bonkers, there will probably be multiple blown leads and it will almost certainly come down to the final play.”

Bill Bender writes: “This is the best chance for a road upset. The Giants took the Vikings to the limit in Week 16, and Saquon Barkley had 133 total yards and a TD. The Giants are 5-1 when Barkley gets 20 carries or more, and he needs to have a monster performance in his first playoff game for New York to have a chance. The spotlight will be on Kirk Cousins, too. He’s 1-3 in the playoffs, and this is his first home start for the Vikings. The difference in that first matchup was Minnesota did not have a turnover. If the Giants can force a few miscues, then they will have a chance. We are still sticking with the home team. Justin Jefferson – who had 12 catches for 133 yards in the first meeting – busts loose again.”
