James Harden once again did something no NBA player has

January 19th, 2021

James Harden has put up some big numbers in his first two games as a Brooklyn Net, eclipsing the 30-point and 10-assist mark in the 122-115 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday and in the 125-123 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

With his 34 points against the Bucks, Harden became the first player to ever score 30-plus points in each of his first two games as a Net. Harden also joined D’Angelo Russell (March, 2019), Devin Harris (March, 2008) and Stephon Marbury (May, 1999) as the fourth Net to record 30-plus points and 10-plus assists in consecutive games.

Additionally, Harden is the only player in NBA history to every post back-to-back 30-point, 10-assist games in his first two games with a new team.

Harden reached the 34-point mark point mark on 13 of 25 shooting from the floor (3-for-10 from deep) and 5-for-6 shooting at the free-throw line. Along with his 12 assists, Harden had six rebounds and six turnovers against the Bucks.
