April 7th, 2021

Golf legend Tiger Woods who is recovering at this moment from the horrific crash he had in February is being accused of speeding when the accident took place. The report states that the speed limit for the curvy road Mr. Woods was travelling on is 45 MPH, he was speeding at 87 MPH moments before the crash that caused him to suffer from multiple leg injuries.

According to sheriff Alex Villanueva, The golf champion was going at a speed of 75 MPH when he made an impact with a tree.

Officials state that Woods was unable to navigate the many turns at the high speed he was driving his SUV. Further details presented by the police highlighted that Woods did not hit the break the moment before the accident took place instead he seemingly hit the gas by mistake because that’s what the data from the vehicle shows.

“When you panic … your initial thought is to hit the brake. It is believed he may have done that but hit the accelerator instead of the brake.” Alex Villanueva explained.

Earlier officials pointed out that the 45-year-old’s life was saved possibly by the seatbelt and multiple airbags that deployed.

Surprisingly, officials also outlined that Woods appeared to be sober and no prescription medication, illegal drugs nor alcohol was recovered from the crash scene. Woods earlier stated that he did not drink any alcohol or took medication before he started to drive.

This is not his first major car accident for he made news also in 2009 for crashing his SUV outside his Florida mansion. Learn more from the video report below.
