Popcaan and Toni-Ann Singh’s “Next To Me” Music Video – YARDHYPE

After days of teasing and promoting their collaboration, which is now Toni-Ann Singh’s first ever professional piece, Popcaan and former Miss World 2019, his alleged girlfriend, has finally released the much-anticipated track, Next To Me.

The single was released at Midnight on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, and was accompanied by a full video featuring both celebrities, telling the story of a couple who are head over heels for each other. The song starts with Popcaan letting his lover know that she can just stay beside him, then Toni-Ann interjects by singing, “You make me wanna run, run, run, heartbeat racing like a drum, drum, drum. Feel it in my soul, leave me wanting more.”

Responding to her confessions, Popcaan vocalizes, “we could go anywhere, anywhere you choose, take you on a cruise. Girl, you are so beautiful, love to see you smiling. The love we have is never ending, tell me how you feeling.”

The visuals for the song play out with Popcaan coming over to pick up his woman and although she is happy to go with him, her father disapproves of the union. In keeping with the lines “we can go anywhere”, taking Toni-Ann on a tour on his motorcycle, they go on a journey that takes them to the beach, a park, a soup vendor, and a party with friends.

Toni-Ann likens their love and companionship to that of Antony and Cleopatra. She intones, “met a few lifetimes ago, you were Antony, I was Cleo. Made the world a place only we know, if it’s not love then tell me what’s this feeling you giving me?”

Continuing, she pleads with her lover to leave if their love is not real. Throughout the video, which could be considered as Popcaan and Toni-Ann finally admitting that they are in a relationship, the duo shares numerous intimate moments which also includes a kiss.

The song has already garnered 48 thousand views since its release and upload to YouTube, with almost nine thousand likes.
