CONGRATS: Miss Jamaica “Miqueal-Symone Williams” Placed in TOP 10 of Miss Universe

Jamaica’s Miqueal-Symone Williams who competed for the Miss Universe Crown yesterday Sunday, May 16th made the top 10 cut, making Jamaica proud. Jamaica was the first name to be called in the top 10 after previously making the top 21.

Jamaicans were getting excited with hope of her making it to the top five finalists. However, unfortunately, Williams did not make it to the top 5 finalists. This was the 69th Miss Universe Competition, Miss Mexico went on to win the crown, the runners-up were Miss Brazil Julia Gama and Miss Peru Janick Maceta Del Castillo.

Yendi Phillips, Davina Bennett and Kaci Fennell were all supportive of Miqueal-Symone throughout the happenings via social media.

About Miqueal-Symone Williams, she spent most of her life in school, she is very organized and loves to cook, she recently took up learning to sew as a hobby, as a model she has graced the pages of Elle Magazine. She was born in Mona, Kingston and went to schools and university in Jamaica.

Williams is a Pulse and select model search winner, and travelled internationally to London, Paris, New York and other places in her modeling career. She has worked with huge brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Amari, Valentino and others in London, Spain, New York and Paris. 

The Jamaican queen has a rounded look at life and has mental health as the reason. In 2020 she graduated from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, with a BSc Degree in Management Studies and a minor in Psychology, which she completed with high honors.

The pageant was postponed from last year because of Covid-19. The final show for Miss Universe took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. This year’s Miss Universe competition featured 74 women. Check out the full, comprehensive list below.
