Bounty Killer Targets Mr. Lexx for Talking Down on Dj Khaled’s Reggae Collabs

May 3rd, 2021

Last month veteran Dancehall artiste Mr. Lexx took to Twitter to throw Grammy-winning producer DJ Khaled under the bus with some interesting things he had to get off his chest, Lexx told Khaled “Dear DJ Khaled just letting you know they’re a lot more artists in Jamaica”.

He also tweeted “Every time Khaled come yah a di same artiste dem him use and di song dem Nah hit. Kmt yea I said it.”. At the time many dancehall reggae fans agreed to his statement while many others disagreed labelling him as badmind.

The “We the best”, record label owner, recently visited Jamaica, and on his Instagram profile, it could be seen where he posted videos and pictures of himself and entertainers such as Capleton, Buju Banton, Barrington Levy and Bounty Killer.

Even though Mr Lexx’s point was well registered, Grammy-winning artiste, Koffee was sighted with the pack as a newcomer. DJ Khaled has also worked with Sizzla Kalonji, as a Jamaican artiste on more than one track.

Since then a music video was released for the song titled “WHERE YOU COME FROM” which features Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer and Dj Khaled, to Mr. Lexx’s surprise the song is a hit and is currently one of the most streamed content on YouTube in Jamaica. Released on May 1st the must video has racked up 1.9 million views already.

Now, Bounty Killer is hitting back at Mr. Lexx’s comments and it’s widely documented that neither artistes see eye to eye, it’s also believed that Bounty Killer was the one who stalled Mr. Lexx’s career after he chanted several allegations about the Mountain View artiste in the early 2000s causing many industry personnel to distance themselves from the “ring mi cellie” artiste.

While Bounty did not mention Lexx’s name directed in his statement the dancehall world knows who the Killa is taking aim at when he asked “who did say it wasn’t gonna hit”?
