Bounty Killer Makes Statement About His Upcoming Album “King of Kingston” – yardhype.com

Veteran dancehall artiste Bounty Killer is once again touting his album to be a masterpiece and reminding fans what the real dancehall sound should be. According to “Killa”, he is not looking to compete with young dancehall artistes as he is in his own lane.

This is what Bounty had to say, “I heard lots of complaints from genuine music fans and music lovers across the globe, About the sound state and condition of dancehall today which most of us can agree that it’s confusing at times, But the change is inevitable however so I decided to gather a bunch of artiste producers musicians and writers to try and remind today’s fans what authentic hardcore international dancehall sounds like, Bcuz the radio mostly plays rap and trap also the cable ppl getting it mixed up”.

He did not stop there as he went on to outline that the last time he dropped an album, he went on to run dancehall, “18yrs ago I dropped my last album then launched Alliance to run dancehall, I never ever needed the hype this album isn’t to compete with the younger folks or anybody, it’s more of a template to guide who doesn’t understand fully about the roots of the dancehall culture, I hope y’all appreciate it when it comes bcuz most people ppl today only complain and comment about music but they don’t buy it”.

Based on this latest statement, Bounty seemingly is accepting that his album may not do as good as others, notably “Top Prize” which he earlier labelled as “Flap Prize”, even in such scenario he knows that his album is fully dancehall and wants fans to go support it when it drops.

Several months ago, the 5-star general posted a photo with a number of his past albums ranging from “Down in the Ghetto” 1994, “My Xperience” 1996, “Ghetto Dictionary” 2002, and “Nah no Mercy” 2006.

In the caption of the post, he wrote “Never had a flop album, all classics” then went on to say “Clowns take notes catalogue”.

The much anticipated “King of Kingston” album is set to have 15 tracks, and it is also being said that the body of work will be executively produced by Damian “Junior Gong” Marley.

We are yet to receive a release date.
